Information required to determine Works Capability - Qualified Professionals

The criteria that will be used for the assessment of the works capability designation of the enterprise are:

Criterion D:
  • "Full-time equivalent" means two part-time engineers (20 hours/week each) equal one full-time engineer.
  • A qualified person is recognised by training and experience and must be registered (or in process) with relevant councils:
    • Civil, Electrical, Mechanical:
      • Engineering Profession Act 46 of 2000
      • Project and Construction Management Professions Act 48 of 2000
    • General Building & Specialist Works:
      • SACPCMP
      • ECSA
      • SACAP
      • SACQSP
      • SACLAP
  • For Electrical Engineering, a certified contractor's certificate from the Electrical Contracting Board of South Africa is required.
